How to Use Coupons

It would seem that using coupons would be and easy task, and it is, however, there are many ways that you can get the MOST out of your couponing!

*Use your coupon ONLY when the item is also on sale!
There may be times when you really need something, whether it's on sale or not, and using a coupon can only help!  However, if you can wait until it goes on sale, you are getting the most out of our coupon!  This also helps clear up the old argument "The "Brand Name" on sale or with a coupon is still more than the store brand!!" That is a statement which I always lived by, however, I'm learning there's a better way
Here is an example:
Good: Shoprite Mustard .69, on sale
Better: Frenchs Mustard .99, .30 coupon, doubled = .39
Best: Frenchs Mustard on sale for .69, .30 coupon, doubled = .09

If you wait for the brand you have a coupon for to go on sale, you almost ALWAYS win!

*The sale states 2 for $4
That is wonderful!  However, when you purchase two of something to get the store sale, you can also use 2 (or 3, or 4, depending on what the sale is) manufacturer coupons.
Example:
Triscuits: Shoprite sale 2/$4
Coupons: $1 off 1 box of triscuits (and you have two coupons)
Total Cost to you: 2 boxes of triscuits for $2
